The homeschool art entries are in. The work is beautiful. I know you are going to love seeing the entries created by these talented homeschool artists. If you like what you see please leave a comment for the students either on Flickr or here on this post.
We have a smaller number of entries this time. I attribute that to the summer and possibly the fact that the Olympics is going on. I have certainly been glued to the TV watching all our Team USA athletes. Watching the events is such a lesson in dedication and perserverance.
Even though the numbers are down, I am impressed with the quality and variety of the work. Thank you artists for sharing your lovely art work with us here at Art For Homeschool. Thank you parents for encouraging the artist in your child. You are all appreciated!
Now for the details:
The art show will be judged and awards will be announced August 15th. First place winners in each age group, (5 – 8 year olds, 9 – 13 year olds, and 14 – 18 year olds), will receive a $10 gift certificate from Dick Blick Art Materials. Please be sure to come back and see the results. There is another award called People’s Choice. You get to voice your opinion by casting a vote for this award. People’s Choice will also receive a $10 gift certificate from Dick Blick Art Materials.
How do you vote for People’s Choice?
Click on the link at the bottom of this article. Vote for the art work you feel deserves the highest award in the show. This is not a popularity award. Please spend some time looking over the art work before you vote. You can only vote once. You must give me your name when you vote. If you have several family members voting using the same email address, be sure to give me each voter’s name. If you vote twice, both votes will be not be counted.
Deadline for voting for People’s Choice is midnight, CDT, August 12.
