If you have a child that is interested in photography you might consider letting them enter the 2012 International Photography Contest for Kids. It is sponsored by the National Geographic Society.
Children must be the ages of 6 to 14 on October 31, 2012 to enter. There are categories for the photographs, which are Animals, Scenery, People, and Humor.Each child can enter one photograph per category. Judging is based on 50% creativity and 50% photographic quality.
Parents need to help their child fill out the registration forms in order to participate. I hope some of you will take this opportunity. Even if you do not participate, you can look at some great photographs from previous years.
