Vote for People’s Choice – February 2011

Yeah!!!!! The Art For Homeschool Art Show entries are in for the February show. I am very pleased with the quality and quantity of work entered. We have 21 entries which include eleven homeschool students and one parent. It is going to be tough judging this show.

One of the fun parts of having the online show is getting the feedback from everyone that sees the artwork. So, I allow the readers to vote for their favorite piece of art. I am not including the parent work in this vote.

So, this is how it goes…. Look at the work below. The thumbnails are just a small part of the art work. So click on the image to get a larger, full view of the work. Pick your favorite and tell me which one you like the best. I call this “People’s Choice”.

To vote:

Leave a comment with the title of the work and the child’s name. It would also be really great if you could give a reason for your choice.  You can only vote for one piece of artwork. Yes, I know, it will be difficult.

On February 15, the awards will be announced. So voting for People’s Choice will end February 14th at midnight Central Standard Time. The winner of the award will receive a $10 gift certificate from Dick Blick.

Dick Blick has been great about supporting our show. They also donated gift certificates to the first place winners in each age group. In appreciation, you might want to take a moment to go to their site and see what they have to offer in art supplies. The widgit on the right of this post will take you there.

Hope you enjoy the show. You can go to Flickr and make comments to individual artists if you wish. Click here to see the Art For Homeschool Flickr Group. Encouraging words are always welcomed.

Note: All those people that voted for Hope Golden’s work can vote again for People’s Choice. I regret that Hope asked that her work be removed from the art contest.

  11. I’m voting for Ashley by Jake, by virtue of the power and control of the painting technique. But I have to say, the Ducks painting by Kyla is a fantastic, close second. Maybe I’m just a sucker for watercolour. 🙂

  18. Hope, I will do as you ask. Not sure why you want your art removed from the art contest. Your work is lovely and I regret it will not be in the contest.

  19. Hope Golden says:

Please remove my two art entries from this website.

  20. Wow! Thank you for all the wonderful comments and votes. Just a reminder. You can only vote for one piece of art work. If you vote for more than one I can’t count either vote. Why? Because I won’t know which one was really your favorite.
Please tell your family, friends, and other homeschoolers about this art show. Have a great day! ~Terry

  21. Hope, I did not get a comment from Michau. If they are having trouble tell them to email their vote to me. My email address is watercolorsbyterry@hotmail.com. Thanks. ~Terry
