Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a safe and fun New Year’s Holiday. For some of you it may have gone by too slow, for others, maybe too fast. It went by too fast for me. I never have enough time to do all I plan. I seem to have a long list of art project ideas I want to tackle and only get one or two of them done.

Having an abundance of art project ideas is really not a problem though. At least I am never bored. I always have something to look forward to. I can have something creative going on in my head even if I can’t physically get to it.

What creative projects do you have in mind for the coming year? Have you decided on the project you will enter in the next Art For Homeschool Art Show? The deadline for our next show is midnight CST February 1. That gives you plenty of time to get something together for the show.

You can enter any 2 dimensional art work. Photography, drawing, painting, collage, colored pencil, pencil, etc. can be entered in the show.

If you forgot how to enter the show or you are new here, go to the tab above titled AFH Art Show. The page explains all the steps it takes to participate. The first and most important step is subscribing to this blog through email. There is a huge Subscribe Here button on the right that will help you get that step done.

Note to parents: Something I want to mention to the members of the AFH Flickr Art Group, please periodically go on your photostream to check the comments people make. If you find any rude or vulgar comments please delete them. I hate to even mention it, but people apparently find it humorous to say rude things. You have the control over whether comments stay or go. I have only seen a problem with comments once, but it doesn’t hurt to be careful.

I hope you all have a great time getting your art work ready for the show. I look forward to seeing the projects you put together. If any of you want to tell me about some of the projects you will incorporate in your homeschool curriculum I would love to hear from you. Take care and Happy New Year again!
