“Be Inspired, Creative, and Heard”

I was contacted this week by a homeschool parent that works for NASA. They wanted to let me know about a unique opportunity for youth, including homeschoolers. This is an opportunity for 10 to 18 year olds to showcase their artistic abilities and vision for the future.

The 2nd International Humans in Space Youth Art Competition is open for entries. The deadline is November 15, 2012. Students are asked to submit visual, literary, musical, and video artwork expressing a vision about the following question:

How will humans use science and technology to explore space, and what mysteries will we uncover?

Art will be judged by an international panel of artists, scientists, teachers, engineers, astronauts, and others. The winning artwork will be woven into multimedia displays and
performances worldwide to inspire people of all ages and promote
dialogue about space.

I hope some of you will try to come up with an entry for this competition. It sounds like it will be a lot of fun creating with the theme. Be Inspired, Creative, and Heard.” Once you create, you will need to have your entry ready to be uploaded. All the information you will need is at the following website.
