Using Cartoons to Teach Art Appreciation

I was half watching a movie the other day titled, “Looney Tunes: Back in Action”. In the movie there was a scene where the characters go to the Louvre. That caught my attention. I started paying more attention to what was going on.

The cartoon characters ran through the museum jumping in and out of various famous paintings. It was fun to see how the characters were affected by the different styles of the work. I found the clip on You Tube.

I am sharing it here because I thought some of you might want to share this with your homeschoolers. It could give you a perfect opportunity to discuss the work of the artists and the styles seen in the movie clip.

Do you know the artists and titles of the work in this film clip?
